Goal of the game

Your goal is to buy and sell basketball players so that your teams would rank high in standings.

Your success depends on your ability to predict how well basketball player is going to play.

You can play in each league competing for its prizes. Winners of the whole game and its rounds (in some leagues) will be awarded valuable prizes.

The game has several leagues of professional basketball. If you have not managed to find your favourite league, do not get upset! Their list will be extended from time to time. Thus, you will be able to join more and more various leagues. You can choose yourself which leagues you want to play in.

Each league has a list of its players, teams and standings. Please be aware that some leagues have different game settings: limitation of the number of buys, time of updating the number of buys, limitation of the number of matches

Playing the game

Playing the game is easy. The main steps are the following:

Create a team. You have to create a team after you register in a selected league. When you are creating a team, you must indicate its name made up by you. Each created team immediately gets 500 units of money for which you can buy basketball players. At the beginning the number of buys of basketball players for a team is not limited.

Form the team. Your task is to use money you have to form a team which will win one of our prizes for you. Each team consists of up to 12 basketball players whom you can buy using the budget of the team. You can also sell your team players and earn money this way. Remember, each basketball player has a certain price, which changes after each match he plays.

Increase the value / ranking of the team. After a basketball player plays a match, his price and ranking are recalculated. Your team standings are updated, as well. You can see prices of basketball players in the team roster window. In the same window you can make decisions: which team players to sell and which to buy. You can see achievements of your team and teams of other users in the Standings section.

Enter your personal information in section "user settings". It is a very important step because, otherwise, if you win a prize, we will be unable to contact you and to agree on delivery of the prize.

Budget

In order to buy a basketball player, you must have enough money. At the beginning of the game each of your teams gets 500 units of money, for which first basketball players can be bought. After each player you buy, the team budget decreases by the amount of the player’s price. After you sell a player, the team budget increases. After a player plays a match, his price is updated. If you sell a player after a match, the team budget may exceed the initial 500. But if your players played much worse than expected, then after you sell them there may be less money in the budget than in the beginning.

Positions of basketball players

Each basketball player is in one of the following positions: C – centre, F – forward and G – guard. When you buy a player for a certain position in the team, you can choose only from players in that position. The starting lineup of five must have 1 centre, 2 forwards and 2 guards. The remaining seven members of the team can be in any of the positions. When you buy a player for a certain position in the team, you can choose only from the list of players meeting the conditions above.

Calculation of the basketball player’s price

The exact formula of calculation of the basketball player’s price is secret and only the authors of the game know it. However it depends on the efficiency of a basketball player during a match and demand for him among all teams participating in the game.

Limitation of the number of buys

If you want to buy a new team member, you must have enough money and unused buys. “Remaining buys” shows the number of new team members you can still buy.

This number is regularly updated: in the European championship – each day, whereas in other leagues – each week.

After you create a new team, the number of buys is not limited for some time. But after at least one player of the team plays the first match, the number of buys becomes limited. If by that time you have not bought all members of the team, you will be given an extra number of buys that you will be able to use at any time.

From this moment, you must constantly watch the number of remaining buys and carefully plan your buys of basketball player.

Swapping of players

You can swap players within the roster following position requirements. In order to swap team members, click on the selected player and drag him to another position. After you make a swap, the number of remaining buys does not change.

Limitation of the number of matches

There is limited number of matches that can be played in each roster position for the season (some leagues do not have this limitation). In the team roster window you can see this limitation and the number of matches played in each of the positions. When the maximum number of matches has been played, then this position becomes “exhausted”, i.e. you cannot buy other players to this position.

Limitation for team formation

Please be aware that for 15 minutes before the beginning of and during a match, you cannot perform the following actions with basketball players who play in that match:

change the player’s position

buy the player

sell the player

You will be able to buy the player only after match statistics are received and his price and ranking are recalculated.

Standings

In the game all the teams are rated in 2 categories:

Ranking standings are set referring to the player’s ranking in real matches. The player’s ranking is a certain number which indicates how useful the player was during the match (the exact formula can vary in different leagues). The team’s ranking is calculated referring only to the ranking of the starting lineup of five of your team. After a player of your team plays a match, the team’s ranking, which is used to set ranking standings, is recalculated. In order to be high in the ranking standings, you must have as good starting lineup of five as you can.

Standings are updated as soon as information about new matches played by basketball players is received.

Standings can also be viewed according to rounds. Each league is divided into rounds taking a certain period of time. If you want to know round results, select a round in the ratings window.

If two or more game players get an equal number of points, then the game player who has made less buys of basketball players will rank higher.

In order to expect good results, it is very important to struggle that the price of the players in the team would increase, not drop. Later, when you sell them, you will have more money and will be able to buy even better players.
